Introduction –
Most banking apps in India are riddled with bad UX-choices that lead to a terrible experience, leading to confusion, frustration, and dissatisfaction.
At NBI, I have attempted to fix this scenario with focus on accessible and user-centred design, strategic visual hierarchy, intentional micro-interactions that aid the UX; and a clean, no-nonsense Ui with zero-bloat.
Legal Disclaimer –
‘National Bank of India’ or ‘NBI’ is a hypothetical representation of a fictitious entity, created for the sole educational purpose of an experience-design case-study.
Any such resemblances are purely unintentional and coincidental.

The problem –
Be it public-sector banks or private, bank apps still are considered the graveyard of UX and UI in the nation.
This leads to user frustration, dissatisfaction, and confusion – especially among users who are old, or have some form of disability, or those who aren’t as tech-savvy as the rest of us.
